This course is really about you developing an “action-oriented” attitude toward a social
problem. The purpose is for you to develop a sociological curiosity about something in
“your world” that you have a concern about, and using a brainstorming, critical thinking,
and problem-solving approach, to create potential solutions. Your solutions should be
research-based, thus you will to use the scholarly journal articles from your literature
review that address the identified social problem and support your discussion points. Your
conclusions should be logically tied back to research and reflect good evaluation of support
materials. This paper should follow ASA format and be no less than FIVE pages in length
not counting your title and reference pages. Paper is due during Week 6 and is worth 100
