1. 1.  -What is the Pythagorean Theorem? a^2+b^2=c^2
2. 2.  A- can be what ever number that is given B- can also be what ever number that is given. C- is ALWAYS going to be the hypotenuse. The hypotenuse is found directly across from the right angle.
3. 3.  We use a right angle triangle.

5. 5.  a^2+b^2=c^2 8^2+4^2=X^2 64+16=x^2 80=x X=8.9
6. 6.  A=X2-X1 B=Y2-Y1 C=(X2,Y2),(Y1,Y1)
7. 7.  = Ö(2 5)2 + (-2 - 6)2 ___________ = Ö(-3)2 + (4)2 ________ = Ö9 + 16 ____ = Ö25 = 5
8. 8.  (2,3),(1,7) D=(2- -1)^2+(3-7)^2 (3)^2 ( -4)^2 9 + 16=25Square root of 25=5
