Introduction <ul><li>Today and as science and technology have been improved, we are in a very fast period of progress and production. </li></ul><ul><li>Also, quality and profits are important factors in manufacturing and especially for SE. </li></ul><ul><li>BUT THE QUESTION IS HOW CAN THEY BE REACHED?? </li></ul><ul><li>Many ways in how to achieve these factors, one of them is using robots. </li></ul><ul><li>They’ve been used a lot since 1961 especially in dangerous areas and loading heavy weights. </li></ul><ul><li>Consider a case study which is Welding Robots. </li></ul>

Welding Robots <ul><li>Skid steers are important machines and distributed to many industries for transporting heavy loads and construction and have been used a lot in hard tasks. </li></ul><ul><li>Manufacturing them with high quality is essential in order to ensure good performance, safety and sales as well. </li></ul><ul><li>HOW THESE FACTORS CAN BE ACHIEVED??!! </li></ul><ul><li>Actually, robots play a role in welding them in order to get better quality, productivity and safety . </li></ul>

Welding Robots <ul><li>WHY ARE ROBOTS ABLE TO DO THAT???? </li></ul><ul><li>Simply, they can save time by welding three different heavy frames at the same time with high accuracy and quickly. </li></ul><ul><li>They do not take too much in finding the welds like human , because they use sensors for that in order to save time!! </li></ul><ul><li>They’ve improved the efficiency and saved laborers times by 40 percent by allowing them performing other jobs over the plant. </li></ul>

Welding Robots <ul><li>On safety side, they’ve kept workers away from dangerous process during welding because they do not breath and can not be affected from the smell of welding and this will decrease the high health care budget for factories . </li></ul><ul><li>They don’t ask for a break, a day off or get bored while working and they do not ever complain , which helped in welding more machines. </li></ul><ul><li>They have been used in welding due of the lack of workers in this field, which is a good point for companies because they don’t want to force workers to get heavy jobs or have an empty field. </li></ul>

Welding Robots <ul><li>In spite of the chances of mistakes that could occur with robots are larger than with manual workers during the welding process, depending on them has really been useful and there are about 800,000 robots working in manufacturing nowadays. </li></ul><ul><li>Referring to Richard Litt, President and CEO of arc welding robot integrator, most of their success has been reached, profits have been improved and cost decreased since the use of robots in welding. </li></ul>

Ending <ul><li>Finally, the role of robots in industry has become clear, important and they will play an even greater more. </li></ul><ul><li>Robots have proved their ability in performing so many jobs in different areas and in any atmosphere and they have showed that they have been created to stay! </li></ul><ul><li>Due to their accuracy, non-stop motion, high speed and working in dangerous places, they have improved quality, productivity, profits, customer satisfactions and sales as well in industry. </li></ul>
