Who’s it for?<br />Great for people on the go that don’t have enough time for breakfast<br />People who have bad or developing bad cholesterol<br />Good for growing kids (vitamins and minerals)<br />People who want immunity during the flu season (due to antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins) <br />
  3. 3. Any Sugars? Yes, but it’s all natural<br /> What if I told you that there are no added sugars in this smoothie? I’m sure many of you would decide that it’s plain and has no taste. WRONG…<br />This smoothie is made from fresh fruit, so, the sugar in the fruits are enough to make it sweet<br />
  4. 4. Blueberries<br />The Good<br />Low in saturated fat, bad cholesterol, and sodium<br />Full of dietary fibers, good cholesterol, antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin K, and Manganese<br />The juice of a blueberry treats coughs, colds, and the antioxidant (called Anthocyanin) kills intestinal bacteria<br />The Antioxidant also neutralizes “free radicals” that can cause cancer and other age related diseases<br />The Bad<br />Lots of the calories are from sugars<br />When it is frozen or canned, it loses almost all of its vitamin C content<br />Eating too many can get you sick<br />

  11. 11. ½ Cup Blueberries
  12. 12. 2 Cup Milk (2%-Non Fat)
  13. 13. 1 Cup Yogurt (Low Fat)
  14. 14. ½ Cup Ice</li></ul>Cooking Instructions:<br />Put the fruit into the blender<br />Add all the yogurt, ice, and ½ cup of milk<br />Blend<br />When all fruit is blended smoothly, add the remaining milk<br />Serve (Makes 40 ounces)<br />
