  2. 2. WHO INVENTED THE CELL PHONE?<br />The person responsible for inventing the cell phone is Doctor Martin Cooper. <br />He invented the technology for the cell phone when he was the Director of Research and Development at Motorola<br />

BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON MARTIN COOPER<br />BORN: DECEMBER 26, 1928 IN CHICAGO ILLINOIS, USA.<br />Cooper is the CEO and found of Arraycoom.<br />Arraycoom is a wireless communications software company. <br />ArrayCoom, works on researching smart antenna technology and improving wireless networks. <br />
  4. 4. HOW DID THE CELL PHONE BECOME A “CELL” PHONE?<br />It started of with engineers, in the late 40’s, proposing ideas to use hexagonal cells for mobile phones in vehicles. <br />The only problem was at this stage technology to implement the ideas did not exist. <br />
  5. 5. IT’S A RACE FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS<br />Their was two companies that were trying to develop a better way to communicate, AT&T and Motorola. While AT&T was stuck around the idea about having a cell phone in a car, Martin Cooper was thinking of ways to communicate wirelessly, which was un-heard of. <br />
  6. 6. FIRST CELL PHONE<br />In 1973 Martin Cooper out beat AT&T and was successful with his first ever mobile phone.<br />The first cell phone released by Motorola was the DynaTec phone. <br />DynaTec phone was considered to be the first generation of Cell Phones. <br />

Their idea of a cell phone was one that connects to your car. <br />Martin Cooper laughed at the idea, that why would you want to be trapped in a car talking to a phone. <br />He wanted people to have freedom to talk where ever they wanted to.<br />

ARE CELL PHONES CHANGING THE WORLD?<br />Cell phones had quickly become popular, and in demand! <br />When something is in demand inventers always thinks of ways to make a product better suited for what its intended. <br />The cell phone at the time was only intended to communicate with other people wirelessly. <br />Over time inventers created other features for the cell phone<br />
