  • 1.  Actions Start by brainstorming all the tasks you’ll need to do to complete your project  Resources What materials, resources, skills will you need to complete your project? What have you already got, what will you need to buy?  How long How long have you got to implement? In a rush? More likely to hit unexpected costs. Plenty of time? Save costs and do it yourself  Ask What would Google do? Research prices online, phone a friend whose done it all before. Speak to potential suppliers and get quotes  What if Always include a contingency in case things go wrong – cover any unexpected costs. If you’re unsure, double your budget  Update Update your budget as you go, keeping track of where you’re at  Review After the event, compare your planned costs with your actual costs so you can fine tune your budget for your next project
