  • 2. Podcasting
    • Podcasting is a series of audio or video files that are distributed over the internet.
    • 2 uses:
    • -audio
    • -video
  • 3. Chatting/ IM
    • The transmission of an electronic message over a computer network using software that immediately displays the message in a window on the screen of the recipient.
    • 2 uses: yahoo, AIM
  • 4. Discussion Board
    • The system includes discussion forums, blogs, calendars, polls, questions and answers, picture galleries, file shares, classifieds, keyword advertising, subscriptions, ratings, social networking, and even artificial intelligence.
  • 5. Texting/ SMS
    • The service provided by a telecommunications company for transmitting text messages.
    • 2 uses: you can send a text off almost any phone
  • 6. Blog
    • A website that displays in chronological order the postings by one or more individuals and usually has links to comments on specific postings.
    • 2 uses: to ask questions or discuss topics
  • 7. iPhone
    • A smartphone from Apple that integrates cellphone, iPod, camera, text messaging, e-mail and Web browsing. Data and applications can be sent to the phone wirelessly or via Apple's iTunes software, which is used to organize music, videos, photos and applications
  • 8. Palm Pre Phone
    • The Palm just debuted its long awaited all-new handset, the Palm Pre. The curvy touch screen, with a center button down below and touch sensitivity all down the face -- the lower part is for "gestures." A full QWERTY keyboard slides out from the phone in a portrait orientation, and you can flip the phone on its side for accelerometer-sensed widescreen browsing.
  • 9. Blackberry
    • The BlackBerry is a wireless handheld device introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager. The more commonly known smart phone BlackBerry, which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services, was released in 2002.
