    1. WAM WEB ACCESS MANAGEMENT Accessing full text resources off-campus
    2. Before you begin…
      • Do you have:
      • A LSUHSC ID?
      • A LIBRARY BARCODE?
        • (on back of your ID)
      • A PIN number?
        • (created first time you use WAM)

    3. STEP 1: Find the journal or database Search INNOPAC to locate journals & books Use E-Resources to locate a database
    4. STEP 2: Click the link Click the link in the journal record to go to off campus login Use the Off Campus link to access databases remotely
    5. STEP 3: Enter your login info Type your name (last name/first name order recommended) & barcode (no spaces) Tiger Mike 00000000000000 NO PIN? NO PROBLEM! Leave the PIN field blank & click Proceed to the Database . You will be prompted to create one.
    6. STEP 3 ½: Create PIN Notice 2 boxes appear to set a PIN. Type the same PIN in both boxes You must enter your name & barcode again on the PIN screen . TIP: Enter it exactly as before. Tiger Mike 00000000000000 **** ****
    7. STEP 3 ½: Create PIN
      • PIN TIPS
      • Keep it short: 8 characters or less
      • Make it memorable: letters or numbers accepted
      • WRITE IT DOWN!!
      ! Your PIN is secret. THE LIBRARY DOESN’T HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR PIN. If you forget your PIN, call us to reset it. You will have to create a PIN again. Tiger Mike 00000000000000 **** ****
    8. STEP 3 ½: Create PIN Press PROCEED TO DATABASE to go to full text. Your PIN is now set for future use. Tiger Mike 00000000000000 **** ****
    9. STEP 4: Access your full text Successful completion of WAM will take you to the full text or database
    10. Final thoughts
      • Use WAM to access journals & databases off campus
      • Library barcodes are available in the Library
      • AOL is not compatible with WAM
        • If you dial up using AOL, open an Internet Explorer or Netscape browser window after logging into AOL.
