  5. 5. MPM – TV Main functionalities The rest of this document is about Manager Pro Media – Television. MPM – TV is a management solution that shares the concepts of management tools contained in ERP systems. PROJECT MANAGEMENT MPM covers all the necessary functions of project management in an audiovisual production: Labor calendar Production calendar Controller production calendar Session calendar for artistic staff Controller production calendar Production team can easily create the shootiing production calendar Producing TV series, when a given day the team produces scenes of two or more episodes, the production controller inputs the percent of effort dedicated to each episode (by default mpm distributes it proportionally) Page  6 © Zinetic Ways, SL, November 2009.   7. 7. SUPPLY MANAGEMENT MPM contains a database of suppliers operating with all the necessary details, usually more than the ones stored in the financial ERP. Suppliers database Payment due types Suppliers database Payment methods VAT types Income tax retention types In this example, fields are read only because it is quite common that supplier core data is maintained in the financial ERP. In that case any update of this data in the financial ERP voyages to MPM as well. Suppliers database can also be maintained in MPM. HR MANAGEMENT – ARTISTIC TEAM (2/2) When managing an audiovisual project, artistic staff contract data history shows contracts belonging only to seasons of the same format (in the example, all seasons of Doc Martin format). Session contract type (by episode, by contract duration, by month) Price of each session interval. In the option ‘Session calendar for artistic staff’ there are several cost reports (generated in Excel / open office) of artistic staff that calculates all the costs of artistic staff involved in each production, including agency commissions and different session cost intervals Page  11 © Zinetic Ways, SL, November 2009.   12. 12. HR MANAGEMENT – STRUCTURE TEAM Structure team is managed like production team, and other structure resources can be allocated by default in the accounting plan.   13. 13. CONTROLLING (1/3) Having accurate and real-time information of the costs involved in media production activities is becoming a key competitive advantage. MPM achieves this gain because it includes accurate information of the work in progress not yet invoiced, through a truthful, easy to use purchase order management. MPM has been created to optimize production activity and its key benefits are: Cutting production costs by: Reducing headcount. Taking awareness of cost deviations before it is too late to take the right decisions. Automating much of the administrative production processes. Provide a greater level of transparency in co-productions, giving consistent information to all the investors. MPM’s delivery of real time, precise information of the production status allows taking the right decision in the right time. Any cell of real cost or work in progress not yet invoiced can be drilled- down to mine for the data which is causing a cost deviation.
