Muslims somehow know that they are to
somewhat strike a “balance” in their life.
Yet, what do we mean by “balanced”?
The following are some of the
misperceptions of what some people regard
this “balanced life” is, but very much
influenced by a secularized worldview – not
that of Islam. These are:

PRIVATE (for ‘RELIGION’) and PUBLIC
(Regarded as ‘SECULAR’ – Thus they accept
notion to remove all religious signs, any
religious determination of values and
influence to affect general public discourse).

[2] MECHANICAL ALLOCATION between
“DEEN” (Religious) AND the “DUNYA”
(Worldly) activities. Entertaining some kind
of ratio between these viz. perhaps 50:50
… !?
[3] REDUCTIONIST – tendency to disregard the
all-encompassing nature ofBRIEF SYNOPSIS
Islam.

[4] SECLUSION and false concept of “ZUHD” of
pseudo-sufi who misinterprets this concept
of “detachment from being affected by the
negativity of this world”, as though to mean,
we are to cloister ourselves physically – thus
falsely teaching to reject the every aspect of
this world including many favours and
bounties of Allah for us within it which Islam
view as positive.
