  4. 4. The Lovers This is Hermia! Hermia loves this guy! This is Lysander! He loves Hermia back! BUT!!! This is Demetrius, he loves Hermia as well! This is Helena! She loves Demetrius ! With no love returned… BUT!!!
  5. 5. The Problem! This is Egeus, Hermia’s dad! He likes Demetrious and wants Hermia to marry him! Egeus talks to King Theseus!! Together they say Hermia has 3 options… 1. Hermia can marry Demetrius 2. Hermia can become a nun 3. SHE CAN DIE!!!!
  6. 6. The Plan! Hermia and Lysander decide to run away and get married! Too bad…. Helena Finds out.. And tells Demetrius =P
  7. 7. Meanwhile… These guys are planning to perform a play for the king! Bottom Flute Quince Snout Snug Starveling They plan to practice in the same woods on the same night that the lovers are going to be running away
  8. 8. Later, In The Forest… The fairies are fighting This is Titania! She is now taking care of a young human boy as a favor to a friend. This is Oberon, Titania’s husband. He wants the boy
  9. 9. Fairy Craziness! Oberon gets an idea! He sends his henchmen Robin Goodfellow, To find a magical flower that will cause anyone to fall in love with the first thing they see after it’s been applied, if Titania is involved with someone else she won’t notice the boy missing. Robin While Robin is gone Oberon sees Demetrius and Helena fighting When Robin returns, Oberon orders him to give some of the flower to Demetrius
  10. 10. The Mess Begins Robin screws up and gives the flower to Lysander WHO THEN! Falls in love with Helena BUT!!! Robin eventually gets it right and gives it to Demtrius who falls in love with Helena as well… Hermia is not a happy camper!
  11. 11. Bottom’s Ordeal After Robin gives Titania the flower he has to find something for her to fall in love with, and he spots BOTTOM! To make things worse Robin adds his special touch to the scenario and gives Robin a unique look… When Titania awakes, it’s love at first sight!
  12. 12. Oberon’s Resolution Oberon’s plan works and he gets the boy Now that he has what he wants, Oberon orders Robin to remove the flower from everyone but Demetrius, because he’s a pain in the butt LOVE Titania upon being released from the flower sees Bottom for the ass that he is and leaves him and completely forgets about the boy that Oberon has taken from her, and is in love with Oberon again
  13. 13. Theseus’s Big Idea! While hunting in the forest the next morning, Theseus finds the young lovers asleep Theseus Learns from the lovers that Demetrius no longer wants to marry Hermia and is now in love with Helena! After hearing this news he decides that there is no reason for Hermia to be married if they aren’t in love with each other. TOO BAD EGEUS!
  14. 14. The Wedding Theseus and Hippolyta get married and there is much rejoicing! The mechanicals get to preform their play! And are mocked relentlessly….
  15. 15. Robin’s Ending To conclude, Robin reminds us that this was just a play, and nothing should be taken out of context, but it is up to us to decide what we would like to take away from the play! FIN!!! Click HERE for main menu!
