Influencing policy (training slides from Fast Track Impact)
Mv analysis
1. The shot opens with what looks to
be worms under ground to match
the narrative of the music video
and start the intensity. This shot
lasts for about 5 seconds.
Further through, the shot
changes to the lead singer
with a torch and therefore
changes to the narrative side
of the music video.
This then immediately changes
to close-up’s and mid shots
with flashes of the band
members. This increases the
tempo of the music video.
The video does not change on the same shot
but a shot relating to the narrative therefore
relating back to the first shot of the worms.
This is a mid shot/still shot and much alike the
first shot, this one also lasts about 5 seconds.
The shot then changes to
match the lyrics of being
stuck under ground and with
blood covered over the lead
singer. The shot is a mid shot
and a still shot.
This video contains
mainly just still shots
and mostly
mid/close up shots.
The tempo is mainly
kept in fast pace and
this is done by the
use of a variety of
shots and flashes.
Furthermore, the
flickering gives us
this sense of
destruction with the
music and just
makes the video
overall more intense.
