  • 2. What is EverNote? EverNote is a simple, web-based text editor. It makes it easier to jot notes for any occasion on the fly or in a seat. Text, voice, and images are the primary ways to record info.
  • 3. Web- Based EverNote.com provides easy access to your notes Youcan create multiple different types of organizational structures  Use ‘NoteBooks’ or ‘tags’ to organize
  • 4. Availability/Accessibility  EverNote is available  Online via Google Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer  Smart Phones  Apple, Android, Blackberry and WinOS alike  Tablets  Apple and Android Alike  Offline

Tags on Evernote Similar to Gmail’s labels Useful to connect ideas that stream throughout different notes for organization Example: You are on a field-trip and you have a notebook of field trip info but you want to tag pictures or notes that specifically deal with a specific subject, you can tag them with a specific word and later pull up all the pictures that you have tagged “Rev War” or “Types of Rocks.”

  • 9. Notebook Privacy You control what devices and what people can access your notes Local - your notes are kept only on the device you create them in  Ex. On your phone but not your computer Private– Default Setting – viewable on any device but only by you Shared – this notebook is accessible to those with whom you share it Linked – these are notebooks that others share with you
