      • Easter traditions: - Tłusty czwartek : Easter's rituals begin with Tłusty Czwartek (Fat Tuesday) before Ash Wednesday. This is the time for eating delicious and fattening pączki ( fried yeast dough stuffed with jam). - Palmy wielkanocne: Easter palms in Poland are made of pussy willow branches and dried flowers, instead of real palm leaves, to be brought to Church on Palm Sunday Day. This tradition is kept at our school and children all together prepare paper flowers, collect willow branches and make palms. - Pisanki: Easter eggs symbolize spring, renewal, fertility, and eternit and these are dyed and decorated eggs.  Press here to have some fun. This is an Easter basket full of painted eggs.
      • Spring customs: - Topienie Marzanny : sinking of Marzanna is an old pogan custom. Marzanna, a symbol of winter is prepared as a doll clothed in female cloths who was burned and sunk on March 21st - the beginning of Spring.
