      • Have a burning question ? Cannot spare time/attention ?
      • Cant really re-query
      • Web search takes 11 mins to get an answer (not result)!

      • Facts and figures, settle a bet!
      • Scores! (Whats with us and sports)

      • Definitions, translations – language guide ?

      • Achtung! Alerts – weather/sports/leisure/finance/.....
      • Stocks, News
      • Content - personalize
    5. Who Has The Answers ?
      • WWW : not webpages, only “info”, facts, short takes
        • It IS the largest repositoty, y'know
        • Unexpected kinds of info in there. Surprise!
        • Too vast, thats good and bad
      • Data Aggregators : They know what they're doing
        • People USE that data
        • Its clean, updated
      • People : The best answers are with users:
        • Stuff around them, Stuff they've experienced
        • Stuff they know where to look up
        • Answers which do not “match” but will help!
        • You cannot beat a human brain, yet

          • Google : sms local, websearch on wap.
            • Websearch “carried over” - not enough.
            • They've played with voice search too!
          • Yahoo : OneSearch is decent canned answers.
            • Still not there for “ANY” question
            • The strength of many verticals holds promise.
            • Strong, unused social networks.
            • Answers not on phone!
          • 4info, Medio, Mosio, TapTu, AQA, 'local' searches
            • Repositories, or Answer Engines
            • Wap, or Text access
            • Results, or user answers
          • Zook
            • Combination of both approaches
            • Multi modal : text/GPRS/USSD/....
            • ANY query
    7. Why is mobile search important ?
      • Many people DO NOT have a computer
      • We're often not near a computer
      • Mobile phones outnumber computers hugely
        • 200mill+ phones in India and growing!
        • A lot many of these users will never use a desktop
        • Voice search will totally rock, its tough though!
      • Its a wireless network!
      • Questions pop up everywhere.
    8. Is there money to be made?
      • Wayyy more targeted – each user is well know
      • Wayyy higher click throughs – upto 30% !!
      • Actions will satisfy users more, and lead to business directly
      • Wouldn't a business love being part of a user's contact book ?
      • How about rich surveys, miniature storefronts...
      • You're connected to specific needs, WHEN they're expressed!
      • Location aware services are anxiously awaited – and targeted.
      • Totally customized coupons can be delievered to the phone.
      • Mobile phones reach the “unconnected” world too, higher volumes.
