  • 3. What is acceleration ?
    Acceleration means (( the process of speeding up )) .
  • 4. Increasing speed
    Whenever an object’s speed increasing , the object accelerates
  • 5. Decreasing speed
    Just an object can speed up , they can also slow down .
    This change in speed is sometimes called ((DECELERATES )) , or (( NEGATIVE ACCELERATION)) .
  • 6. CHANGE DIRECTION
    Even that object that is traveling at a constant speed can be acceleration .
    Re call that acceleration can be change in direction as well as a change in speed .
    Many objects continuously change direction without change speed .
    For example : the seats on a Ferris wheel acceleration because they move in a circle .
  • 7. Calculating acceleration
    To determine the acceleration of an object moving in a straight line , you must calculate the change in speed per unit of time .
    Acceleration = final speed – initial speed
