Business process model is a detailed description of a
process consisting of activities, decisions, subprocesses etc.
 process models show logic of the process and places where it is
supported by existing systems or where IT support is planned. This
way developers see context of their work and can make decisions
more easily
 business process model can be transformed into business
process diagram (BPMN) for further extension into technical model
of the process

IT system diagram allows modelling IT infrastructure
supporting business processes.
 possibility to model relations between infrastructure elements,
