With God There Is Forgiveness

"With GOD there is forgiveness" Psalm 130:3-4 By: Sonny Naz [Pastor] July 15, 2007

“ If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.” Psalm 130:3-4

As far as the east is from the west, so far does [God] remove our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

“ I believe in the forgiveness of sins.” Apostles’ Creed says…

Truth about GOD’S Forgiveness: A. We need forgiveness (v. 3) “ If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?

We need forgiveness and we cannot live without it.

Truth about GOD’S Forgiveness: A. We need forgiveness (v. 3) B. We can be forgiven (v. 4a) “ But with you there is forgiveness.”

GOD on forgiveness:

He is eager to forgive

He is ready to forgive

He wants to forgive you

“ The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.” Exodus 34:6-7

“ Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon .” Isaiah 55:7

Truth about GOD’S Forgiveness: A. We need forgiveness (v. 3) B. We can be forgiven (v. 4a) C. Worship is the result of being forgiven (v. 4b)

“ Therefore You are feared.” (Psalm 130:4b) - Or in other words “Therefore we worship You”
