A “Year to BUILD” Acts 4:18-24 Sonny Naz/Pastor 17 January 2010

18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God. 20 For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:18-24

21 After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened. 22 For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old. Acts 4:18-24

23 On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24 When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. Acts 4:18-24

How shall we BUILD?
Let us build through EVANGELISM (vv. 19-21)

16 Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast , for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16

14 I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome. 16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: " The righteous will live by faith ." Romans 1:14 ff

15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15

2. Let us build through EXHORTATION (vv. 21-22)
