1. What is the primary idea of the content in the articles?
These articles is written about the GPS Car Navigation System.
First articles is written about how we use the GPS, second articles is written about what the GPS is.
The GPS system is included a monitor that displays a map, voice recognition and a text display of the
street you're on.
These instructions are for an Alpine map-based system.
Car navigation capabilities depend on a global positioning system, known as GPS, which uses a
network of satellites with radio transmitters.

2. Do you think the individual sections and headings in the document (articles) clearly represent the
idea that was communicated. Explain the reasons behind your comments.
I think first article is difficult to read.
This article is composed with two cases.
Two cases are "Select a Known Destination" and "Select Route by Point of Interest".
I think it is easy to understand the idea in any cases.
I think second article is difficult to read.
This article explains the GPS, but I think this article is written to technicians.
So, the author needs to write more easy or needs to explain for people that don't know the GPS at all.
3. What details are included in the articles?
First article explains the ways to search the place where people want to find, with searching the
destination or point of interest.
Second article explains why the GPS system can run.
The GPS uses a network of satellites with radio transmitters.
The atomic clocks that the GPS satellites has synchronize the satellites to almost exactly the same
instant, which the satellites use to send out signals simultaneously.
These signals contain information about the time, position and identity of each satellite.
Because a car is never located exactly the same distance from each satellite, its GPS gets signals from
nearer ones slightly before more distant ones.
Since the transmission includes information about where each satellite is, the receiver can calculate its
total distance from each satellite.
It then uses this information to calculate exactly where it is located.
4. Was there anything that was confusing? If so, what is it?
In first article, the author explains how to use the GPS system with one type of GPS navigation system.
But since the author explains general GPS system in this instructions, the GPS navigation system that
someone has doesn't probably use.
Therefore this article is useful for some people that use general GPS system, but this article is not
useful for the other.

In second article, since I don't have specialist knowledge, unless I check the specialist words I don't
understand the content.
I am confusing that there are many specialist words.

5. What is good about the writing? Why is it good?
I think any articles is good.
First article's good point is divided into some steps.
We can use the GPS system step-by-step.
So, we can understand what we do in the next, we would use it easily than the case that the article is not
written step-by-step.
Second article's good point is that this article's content is specialist.
For the technician or people that want to know the GPS details, this article is very important.
6. Are there any errors that need to be corrected?
There are two errors.
First article explains how to use the GPS system only two cases (searching the destination or point of
interest).
I think there are many cases that the author needs to explain.
This article is how to use the GPS system. But the author explains only two cases.
This article doesn't explain all cases.
Since this article explained only two cases lack, the author needs to write more cases.
Comparing to first article, second article is written with the color.
So, the second article's author needs to divide this article into several steps and use the color.

7. What specific suggestions for improving the articles can you make?
I think there are no improving point in first article.
Second article has four steps.
Each step is the step that has long paragraph.
Because it is difficult for the reader to understand this article's content, the author needs to reduce the
number of words or use many steps.
And, second article is written by specialist words (for example "the atomic clocks").
Certainly using specialist words is useful among technicians, but people that is not specialist.
So, the author needs to have this people that is not specialist understand this article.
8. Identify three basic differences between how your group would author a similar document and how
this author authored it (as you see it in the link).
In first article, I think the author should upload own picture.
I think it is important for the author to inform readers of own information.
So, I would upload my picture.
Each article is good.
Since there are no pictures to explain how to use the GPS system, I think the article is easy to
understand, if there are some pictures.
So, I would prepare some picture that to explain that.
In second article, this article is not use the color.
Using the color helps readers understand the content.
So, I would use the color.
9. Study the following video carefully and then summarize 10 major points that you were able to
understand.

The talker's name is Ben Bunag.
He exists in California.
He talks about How to Track a cell Phone Using GPS.
He talks about two cases of a cell phone and iPhone.
A cell phone can use GPS.
We know where a member of the family going to school or work is.
If we pay $10 every month, we are in member.
If phone stolen for somebody, we can know where the phone is.

There is a piece of technology of mobile for the iPhone.
If iPhone lost or stolen, we find the place that the iPhone exist in the website.

10. Study the following video carefully and then summarize 10 major points that you were able to
understand.

His background and his clothes are black.
He talks about How to Find Current Location on an iPhone.
He talks at the 2:16 PM.
He often uses the imitative word(for example "woo").
He shows us exactly where you are on the iPhone or iPnone 3G.
The iPhone shows where he is in the United States.
If we push the button in left below on the iPhone, the display is zoomed in.

He pushes this button again after zooming in, but nothing happens.
When he spreads his thumb and his first finger, the display is zoomed in again.

If we zoom in, we get more information from the display.
