We need a way to engage our youth. Social Worker Julia is in desperate need for this website to be up. Why are we still dealing with paper? Do they even still make paper? I thought it was all online. Apparently our Youth Centre is still in the dark ages! Next you’re telling me we don’t have TV’s right?
Meet Julia Julia is a Social Worker at the Youth Centre. She wants a website to be launched as part of National Youth Week. She also wants the youth of this town to really get into this site
Link ‘em all together! Julia thinks that if we use a website linked with stuff like Twitter and Facebook we could really reach out to the community’s youth! What do you think?
Get the info out there The website could have info about events, activities, interviews, list of things to do and a place to interact with others
What’s a forum? “ Could we have a forum so we can have discussions with each other? Or should we have a blog?”
What other things will youth use? Julia wants you to have a look for any other things that youth are really into! Blogs Twitter Forums Facebook MySpace Magazine Websites Social Sites MSN Live
You could get video footage of the town! Julia mentions that you could have a video tour of the town, you probably need short 5 minute videos, but you’ll probably need to record much more so that you have enough footage for when you cut the final
What Julia wants Your website will contain Video, Audio, Images and of course text. You’ll need plenty of materials.
You need a plan! Julia will want you to be organised and wants to see your plan for this project. She’s given you a week to put together a design.
But where do you start? You’ll need to make this look good. You’ve got a lot to decide and get right before you meet Julia next week! Interviewing People Video Audio Pictures Storyboarding Help with the job
