    • 9 D&V MD ProgrammC-Thesis (CodeDV18): research work is to be done and presented to beevaluated by a committee of evaluators and completed mostly by the end of the3th academic year.IV-E-: – Research Methodology Preamble;The purpose of this module is to enable the trainee to obtain a practicalknowledge of conducting a research project. This will include the abilityto develop an area of interest, to search for and analyse thebackground on the subject and to undertake a literature search, to definethe aims and objectives of the study, to decide on a study design, to identifythe study sample, sampling methods, sample size and to decide on methodsof data collection and handling and analysis. It will be necessary to learn toconsider ethical issues. The ability to utilize this information to prepare aresearch protocol will be necessary. The construction of a timetable for theresearch, it’s conduction and completion are necessary skills toacquire.
