  • 2. Focus Question• Why do people abuse children worldwide?
  • 3. Stop child abuse
  • 4. Of all prison inmates, 84% were abused as children.
  • 5. This is aproblem!
  • 6. Facts• For every incident of child abuse or neglect that gets reported, it’s estimated that two others go unreported.• 8 out of 10 sexual abusers are someone in the family or someone the child knows.
  • 7. The Problem• Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. Other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect, also leave deep, long-lasting scars. By learning common types of abuse and where to get help, you can make a huge difference in a child’s life.
  • 8. Where Child Abuse Is Happening.• Child abuse is happening all around the world.
  • 9. Child Abuse Effects• Child abuse effects children negatively with academic difficulties, aggressive behavior, bad dreams, ect.
  • 10. How to solve child abuse!• Some ways to stop child abuse are to be aware of unexplained injuries, notice a child’s fear of going home, and notice if a child is begging for food.
  • 11. Elimination of child abuse.• Child Abuse has been eliminated in the state of Vermont.
