  9. 9. WHY ARE SPECIES BECOMING EXTINCT?  Human hunting and poaching.  Habitat destruction via city development and logging.  Pollution from industries and vehicles.  The used of pesticides and other related chemicals. http://www.aboutmyplanet.com/environment/endangered-species-and-what-we-can-do/
  10. 10. WHAT’S WRONG WITH EXTINCTION?  Extinction of animal species leads to an imbalance in the food chain which may cause population explosions of some species or the extinction of others.  When an animal becomes extinct, it can never again be admired and appreciated by humans.  When a species goes extinct, its genome, the entire genetic information carried by that species in its DNA is forever lost to the world.  Animals help produce soil compatible for farming and kill harmful fungi. http://www.aboutmyplanet.com/environment/endangered-species-and-what-we-can-do/
  11. 11. WHAT CAN ONE PERSON DO?  Donate money to nature organizations.  Volunteer to educate others or to develop writing and advertising material, replant trees, boycott animal tested products, and report poachers.  Population control for every country would control our growth.http://www.aboutmyplanet.com/environment/endangered-species-and-what-we-can-do/
