  • 2. Strategic outsourcing is the process of enlisting the services of a freelancer to perform certain
    projects that would otherwise be handled internally by yourself or hired staff.
    Businesses resort to outsourcing in order to organize the use of assets and time more
    appropriately, in order to allow them to focus more on key goals. Any business, regardless of
    size can embrace strategic outsourcing in order to cut down on operation cost as well as allow for
    the channeling of resources to internal processes.

    Most people when talking about outsourcing tend to associate it with small businesses that
    operate on a tight budget. Under such circumstances, strategic outsourcing is usually focused
    around hiring a contractor who will manage simple processes such as processing customer
    invoices, paying outstanding debts among other simple tasks. As such, outsourcing allows small
    businesses to channel resources that would otherwise be used in supporting the accounting
    department into other essential tasks like sales and marketing and product development.

    resources. For instance, a large business can choose not to keep in-house sales team but instead
    contract sales and marketing projects to freelancers to generate sales on behalf of the business.
