  • 2. Deer <ul><li>A buck is about 38 inches tall. </li></ul><ul><li>Each year a male deer grows new antlers. </li></ul><ul><li>Deer favorite food is grass, berries, acorns and mushrooms. </li></ul><ul><li>A male deer is called a buck. </li></ul><ul><li>A female deer is called a doe. </li></ul>

Essential Questions <ul><li>How do deer effect people? </li></ul><ul><li>Deer effect people by sometimes causing accidents. </li></ul><ul><li>What would it be like without deer? </li></ul><ul><li>Without deer we wouldn’t have anything to hunt. </li></ul><ul><li>Why do they live? </li></ul><ul><li>Deer live here because we have food. </li></ul>
  • 4. Wolves <ul><li>Wolves are dogs. </li></ul><ul><li>Wolves are big and strong. </li></ul><ul><li>Timberwolves are called gray wolves. </li></ul><ul><li>Male wolves grow bigger than females. </li></ul><ul><li>Wolves can have five or six babies. </li></ul>

Essential Questions <ul><li>How do wolves effect people? </li></ul><ul><li>If wolves were not here there would be no accidents. </li></ul><ul><li>What would it be like without wolves? </li></ul><ul><li>We would not have books about wolves. </li></ul><ul><li>Why do they live? </li></ul><ul><li>Wolves live here because we have small animals they can eat like moose, earthworms, berries and grasshoppers. </li></ul>
  • 6. Chipmunk <ul><li>Chipmunks eat nuts. </li></ul><ul><li>Chipmunks have stripes on their backs. </li></ul><ul><li>In the Summer they can be seen scampering around. </li></ul><ul><li>They Chipmunk cleans it’s self like a cat. </li></ul><ul><li>Chipmunks live underground. </li></ul>
  • 7. Essential Questions <ul><li>How do Chipmunks effect people? Chipmunk case accidents. </li></ul><ul><li>What would it be like without Chipmunks? No accidents. </li></ul><ul><li>Why do they live here? </li></ul><ul><li>Chipmunks live here because we have food like nuts, acorns and grapes. </li></ul>
  • 8. Bears <ul><li>Baby bears drink there mother’s milk. </li></ul><ul><li>A mother bear protects the baby bear. </li></ul><ul><li>Grizzly bears can run 40 miles </li></ul><ul><li>Sloth bears eat termites </li></ul>

Essential Questions <ul><li>How do bears effect people? </li></ul><ul><li>Bears effect people because they are predators </li></ul><ul><li>What would it be like without bears? </li></ul><ul><li>Without bears humans would be safer in parks. </li></ul><ul><li>Why do they live here? </li></ul><ul><li>Bears live here because we have food like termites, berries and milk. </li></ul>
