Against Monarchy.Pptx Slide Show

 1. 1. Against Monarchy
Yishai Sinai
Jonathan Yomtobian
2. 2. King Saul
This picture shows Saul trying to kill David
3. 3. Shaul was also a bad king he tried to kill David. He did not kill Amalek. He did not wait 7 days for David to come back, before he gave the korban. Saul was God's anointed one, and he disobeyed God many times. He went to a fortune teller because God stopped coming to him in his dreams, he is then told by Samuel that he and his sons will die.
King saul
4. 4. King Solomon
King Solomon and His bad wives.
5. 5. In the Torah it says not to have many wives, but King Solomon went against this and married many wives for the reason of creating acquaintances with all of the surrounding kingdoms. Marrying many wives distracted his responsibilities that he had for G-D. Why they were also bad was that his wives came from idolatry houses.
King Solomon
6. 6. King Ahab
This shows Ahab with Elijah and
Jezebelin in Naboth'svineyrd
7. 7. Ahab Promoted worship of Baal with his wife, Jezebel. He also Caused a three-year drought in Israel. Ahab also Allowed his wife to kill Naboth for a vineyard. He Persecuted Elijah, God’s prophet. Refused to listen to God’s prophets, and Sacrificed his children to idols. This is why Ahab was a very bad king and we are against monarchy.
King Ahab
8. 8. King Rehoboam
Rehoboam made them worship pagan gods.
9. 9.
Rehoboam Ignored the council of wise men. He Treated the people harshly, and that caused the division of Israel from Judah. He adopted pagan worship and that led to many bad things. Judah was plundered by Egypt because they abandoned God. Rehoboam did evil and he did not look for G-D( Chronicles 12:14)
King Rehoboam
10. 10. King Menashe
Menashe praying to baal after rebuilding the temple.
11. 11. Rebuilt the altars to Baal and other idols.
Put idols’ altars in the temple.
Sacrificed his son.
Practiced sorcery.
Killed innocent people.
Was taken away in shackles
to Babylon.
King Menashe
