  • 1. 1190/01 Section C: Continuous Essay Writing WStudent: Renae Tan Class: 3N1 Independence Date: 27 April 2012Q1 What makes a vibrant learning environment at school?1 As a Secondary Three student, it is perfectly normal that one faces many challenges and difficulties and there same thing goes for me. The source of all this challenges varies from co-curriculum (CCA) activities, studies, homeworks and even to examinations.2 The first challenge is about my CCA. My CCA is golf and it is very complicated in mastering it. I never thought of joining golf before but I had not choice and there resulting to all the challenges I face now. With aid of the golf coach, my schoolmates are able to excel in golf, some at least hitting a good shot but I fail to comprehend my coach and always miss the target and some even laugh, mocking me and stuffs. The trainings also tough and upon reaching home, I was so tired.3 The next challenge is relating about studies and stuffs. My parents registered me in many tuitions like on Mathematics, Science and Chinese and sometimes, theres difficulty in managing the homework given, resulting in me being stress.4 The third challenge is what if I do no good in the examinations. I tell myself that I must excel in every subjects of examinations and push myself very hard to study until I cannot absorb in any more informations. I do not like and want to see my parents getting worry and stress up over my results so if I score very badly and below average in a subject, I will tend to push myself, study even harder and this could result me in being stress and blaming myself on why would I not study hard that day. In my opinion, I think this could also lead to peer pressure because I admit that I am one of those people scoring better compared to others so if I cannot cope and lost out during the examinations and the various test to them, I will put even more stress in myself telling to work harder than anyone else and just put in that little bit of effort, resulting to more stress for me and may even lead to depression.5 Lastly, my parents would want to register me in even more tuition and even one to one tuition if my results are deproving and how can I even cope up with all the challenges, difficulties and stress which are slowly building up?6 Although yes, there are many challenges and difficulties as a Secondary Three student, but I will solve all this problems and become a useful and successful person when I grow up.
