  2. 2. What Is a Green Thumb? • According to Wiktionary.com, a green thumb is a person who possesses “green fingers” or it is a state of being “green-fingered” which means that 1 the person has an innate ability to grow plants.xz • It is supported by the Urban Dictionary by saying that a person with a green thumb is actually an individual with an excellent way of keeping nature 2 healthy and teeming with life.
  3. 3. So whatdoes ithave to dowith onlineselling?
  4. 4. Well, earning or gaining a green thumb throughonline selling is associated with these meaningsbut it does not mean the same thing. When I saythat you can earn a green thumb through onlineselling, I mean it in a way where you can protectthese green things by not disturbing theenvironment with harmful chemicals fromdumped electronic wastes or e-waste.
  5. 5. E-WastesE-wastes are the crimes committed by tech ownerswhen they happen to throw away their brokengadgets irresponsibly. Throwing away things thatcontains damaging elements like lead, cadmium andradioactive residue will result in having oursurroundings polluted by e-wastes.E-waste is really bad for human health as much as itis for the animals and plants. It can pollute bodies ofwater whether big or small in just a short span oftime. It can really destroy the lives of the creaturesliving underwater, on land, and those who arebreathing air to survive. Of course, that includes us,offenders of the crime.
  6. 6. Even if we are the very reason for having e-wastes polluting our planet, we should still not wait until our planet gets destroyedbefore we come to realize that what we are doing is wrong. It is definitely our responsibility to take action and initiate achange in our ways so we can turn the tide against e-wastes.
  7. 7. Fighting E-wastes With Online SellingWe absolutely can fight e-wastes through online selling. Yes, you read that right. A simple act of selling used iPads candecrease electronic waste. This is because if we sell our old and used electronic devices, they will be properly recycled using only the best equipment of refurbishing companies. This means that we no longer have to be worried about howwe can dispose of these devices without harming nature. We can now rely on refurbishment companies and their professional ways of getting rid of hazardous gadget parts without endangering any life living on the planet.
  8. 8. It is a simple task to help contribute to thousands of advocacycampaigns raised to protect nature and the planet as a whole. It can be our one way ticket to restoring what has already beendamaged through the years of ignorance and obliviousnessabout the destructiveness of e-waste.As humans, we are in charge of doing this, more to ensure thatthe illegal practice of incineration does not continue tocontribute to massive e-waste diffusion. And yes, not only willyou help in eliminating e-waste when you sell iPad online, youalso get some cash. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!
