MET Tech PP - Presentation Transcript

    1. MET Tech, Inc. Overview Revolutionary Inertial Sensing Technology May ‘09 For more information contact COO Jacob Bindler Bindler@mettechnology.com 201-434-6000 www.mettechnology.com
    2. It is essential to be on target.
    3. Especially in densely populated areas with no margins for errors.
    4. Despite of enemy using GPS jamming devices.
    5. It is essential to precisely pinpoint oil and gas deposits anywhere in the world.
    6. To avoid millions of dollars in costs of wells drilled in wrong places.
    7. It is essential to complement the existing GPS location systems to improve their accuracy and enable performance even when GPS signal is temporarily not available.
    8. It is vitally important to monitor aging infrastructure. 8
    9. MET Tech has developed a novel inertial sensing technology and tools that help solve the above problems by delivering performance that is far superior to similar priced sensors.
    10. $4.2 Bl. Projections for the size of the market for inertial sensors in 2012.
    11. MET TECH’s technology is different from existing ways of measuring inertia. We use liquid flow to detect motions. Such approach deliver: •great amplification •low noise •exceptional sensitivity •wide dynamic range
    12. State of the technology and products. >30 companies Purchased our seismic sensors DARPA $ 1.9M contract US Army >$800K in grants Applied Research Independent Laboratory tests
    13. Low frequency sensors: Company’s first commercial product.  High value product for an important niche segment of large seismic market.  Could be used in other industrial applications such as vibration monitoring.  First shipments in 4 months.  Will enable the Company to break even.
    14. Next step: seismic sensors for oil and gas exploration
    15. Inertial Navigation Systems Inertial sensors are used for navigation when GPS is not available (obscured by buildings, trees, or when the receiver is underwater or underground). INS do not need an external signal to determine precise positioning.
    16. • Gun-fired projectiles are currently not guided. • Military wants guidance, but sensors are usually destroyed during launch. • MET sensors are proven to survive the shock of launch and are expected to provide precise guidance data.
    17. Automotive stability control systems
    18. Prospective Customers Sunful Seismic sensing The Chinese Academy of Geophysics, seismic Science sensing US Navy High precision gyro Baker Hughes Drilling , Micro seismic US Army High precision gyro Rafael (defense) Targeting, platform stabilization
    19. STRONG IP Two US patents One outstanding US patent application A number of international patents and applications.
    20. The Company • Delaware corporation • HQ in N.J. • Subsidiary in Moscow, Russia • Total equity investment to date – $2.5M • Headcount – 18 Full and Part Time employees including 4 PhDs
    21. Management Team  Jacob Bindler, COO: Mr. Bindler is a cross-cultural entrepreneur with extensive financial, operating, and private equity experience. He has a MBA from New York University and an MS in Engineering.  Dr. Vadim Agafonov, Sr. Vice President, R&D: Dr. Agafonov is a co-inventor of MET Tech’s breakthrough technology, and has specialized in the research of kinetic phenomena in solids and fluids and the nature of noise in electrochemical systems for over 15 years. Dr. Agafonov has published more than 40 scientific articles, and heads the Company’s scientific team. Dr. Catherine E. Rice, Vice President, Technology: Dr. Rice joins MET Tech from Structured Materials Industries, Inc., where she was Senior Scientist. She has also held R&D and management positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories (Lucent), the Materials Laboratory at NAWC Patuxent River, TPL Inc., and Plasmion Inc. Dr. Rice received a B.S. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry from Purdue University. She has over 25 years experience in solid state chemistry and materials science R&D and has authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers, numerous conference presentations, and several patents.
    22. Low " Gen 2" Volume New Sensing Low Volume High High Devices & Uses Sales (> Element Sales Volume Volume 300) Completion Samples.
