    • A common sight after deforestation
  • 5. Landscape is destroyed and barren
  • 6. Poor us! We lost our home forever ….
  • 7. Rainforest about the size of Singapore is being destroyed everyday throughout the world
  • 8. Every two and half minutes one rainforest specie becomes extinct or endangered
  • 9. Rainforest is important to us
    • All living things depend on rainforest for food, air and water
    • Absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen into the atmosphere
    • Help to cool the Earth
    • Reduce unusual weather conditions that cause droughts and floods
  • 10. WE CAN HELP TO SAVE
    • Minimise the use of papers
    • Collect used papers for recycling
    • Re-use plastic bags and containers
    • Use recycled wood
    • Use electronic communications and non-paper learning resources
