  • 1. HOLLYOAKS Storyboard<br />Our Trailer By Sammi, Lucy, Phil, Jack, Haseeb, Ellie and Tom<br />
  • 2. SCENE 1 – Establishing the scene and characters...<br />The scene opens with a slow pan of a residential street (L – R cut to behind camera)(Eye level). Cars can be heard in the background – but music is heard overall. <br />All natural light – Exterior shot – daytime/morning.<br />Cut to two people carrying suitcases/bags (LS). They start walking across the road.<br />
  • 3. Cut to from the right of the mise-en-scene; Enter WILL (Haseeb), walking uncomfortably.<br />Briefly cut to two people. Walking towards camera (static)<br />Enter DODGER (Jack), walking confidently towards WILL. D jumps on W’s back saying “Hey!”<br />
  • 4. Cut to MCU of W and D. <br />WILL: Get off!<br />D: What’s up? (SRS – CU)...<br />Cut to WILL (LS) who starts to walk away from DODGER – D runs to keep up, pats W on shoulder but is ignored. (walking to towards camera, camera starts to pan following them as they pass.)<br />Cut to ELS through fencing. W and D are in shot (distant).<br />Cut briefly to two people – LS.<br />They look over at W and D. Continue walking – Person 1 looks sad.<br />Two people walk past camera (static).<br />
  • 5. Cut to two people inside a building (stairs). Person 1 turns to look behind them – as though looking for something. PULL FOCUS. <br />Cut to upstairs. Person 1 drops keys. (LS) <br />CU of Person 2, picking up keys.<br />CU of P1 snatching keys from P2. P1: I can do it okay!<br />P1 turns to unlock the door.<br />
  • 6. SCENE 2 – WILL and THERESA...<br />Scene cuts to MCU of DODGER knocking on a door. Music in Background?? Interior lighting – use FLASH.<br />Cut to OTS of THERESA opening the door. <br />D: Libs in?...<br />T: Yeah she’s...<br />
  • 7. Cut to camera behind T – who motions to her left pointing upstairs. D enters through door and leaves upstairs.<br />WILL enters and stands at door – uncomfortable.<br />Cut to T’s POV of W. (MLS). Awkward<br />W: Hi.<br />T: Hi<br />W: Are you okay?.<br />Cut to OTS shot of T. Awkward, trying to avoid conversation.<br />T: Yeah, just tired and stuff...<br />
  • 8. Cut to MCU of WILL. (SRS)<br />This sequence is repeated during the scene. Until T says: Thanks for stopping by...<br />W: I hope she feels better...<br />Cut to DEEP FOCUS shot of T shutting door on W.<br />Cut to BCU of THERESA. <br />W: I thought you were ignoring me...<br />T: Why would I do that?...<br />
  • 9. SCENE 3 – WILL, DODGER and LIB<br />Natural Light – Exterior shot – daytime/midday.<br />Music in Background??<br />Scene opens with WILL sitting alone on a bench surrounded by trees. Enter DODGER and LIB who sit down either side of him.<br />D: We’ve been looking everywhere for you. What are you doing here?<br />Cut to MCU (eye level) of WILL turning to D.<br />W: Where else would I be?<br />Cut to MCU (eye level) of LIB – turning to W.<br />L: With Theresa?<br />
  • 10. Cut to MCU (EL) of W, facing L.<br />W: She doesn’t seem to want to talk to me...<br />Cut to MCU (EL) of L, trying to comfort W.<br />L: She’s in a bad place at the moment...<br />Cut to slight HAS of W hugging L. <br />W: I’m sorry Lib, are you okay?...<br />
  • 11. Cut to HAS/TS of DODGER and WILL from behind. <br />D: Who has Theresa got?...<br />Cut to MCU (EL) of DODGER. <br />D: Theresa’s keeping you at arm’s length...<br />Cut to MCU (EL) of WILL.<br />W: You think?<br />
  • 12. Cut to MCU (EL) of LIB.<br />L: You need to let her know...<br />Cut to WAS of the three of them.<br />D: She’s right?...<br />W: I’ll talk to her...<br />Cut to MCU (EL) of WILL.<br />W: Yeah, you’re right...<br />
  • 13. Cut to WAS of WILL standing up, getting ready to leave.<br />L: In person Will...<br />Cut to BCU/LAS of WILL – in front of his face, as though he is looking at D and L behind it.<br />W: Thanks, you guys.<br />WILL leaves.<br />END OF TRAILER – CUE CREDITS <br />
