  • 9 세기에 그리스의 전도사 키릴로스가 고안한 것이라고 전해지는 문자 그리스문자 의 언셜 자체 ( 초서체 ) 를 기본으로 하고 슬라브어에 많은 치찰음 ( 齒擦音 ) 과 파찰음 ( 破擦音 ) 을 나타낼 수 있는 새로운 문자를 추가하였다 . 슬라브계의 여러 언어를 표기하는 데 오랫동안 사용하였으며 , 현재의 러시아문자 의 모체가 되었다 키릴 문자 ( 러시아어 : Кириллица) 는 동유럽 ( 러시아 , 우크라이나 , 벨라루스 와 몰도바 , 세르비아 , 몬테네그로 , 보스니아 헤르체고비나 일부지역 , 크로아티아 일부지역 , 루마니아 일부지역 , 불가리아 , 마케도니아 공화국 ) 과 중앙아시아 , 북아시아 와 아제르바이잔 , 그루지야 일부지역 ( 압하스 / 압하지야 , 남오세티야 ), 몽골 에서 쓰이는 문자이다 .
