LeapFrog Enterprises Inc. Partners with Systems in Motion to Build an Inshore Delivery Center

  1. 1. LeapFrog Enterprises Inc. Partners with Systems in Motion to Build an Inshore Delivery Center FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Systems In Motion, the leading provider of US based ‘Inshore’ Technology Services today announced that they have partnered with LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:LF) designer, developer and marketer of innovative, technology-based educational products to build an Inshore Delivery Center (IDC) in Ann Arbor, MI. This dedicated Inshore center will support LeapFrog's growth by building agile development and operations expertise, tightly integrated and aligned with the company's long-term strategic goals. “We were pleasantly surprised to receive all these advantages, while remaining within our cost- efficiency goals” John Bamforth, Vice President of Engineering for LeapFrog, agreed that Systems In Motion's Inshore model was a very strong strategic sourcing alternative to his erstwhile Nearshore team, and offered several advantages over global service delivery, including: o Access to high quality US-based development and operations resources o Agile, productive teams tightly integrated and aligned to business o Faster "time-to-value" due to proximity, cultural compatibility and domain knowledge o Lower risk and minimal overhead for governance and control "We were pleasantly surprised to receive all these advantages, while remaining within our cost- efficiency goals,” said Mr. Bamforth. “I frankly did not expect to find a services partner in the US that had such deep expertise in web development, as well as BI and infrastructure management that could actually compete with global service vendors in terms of scale, quality, and cost. Systems In Motion's Inshore Delivery Center provides me significant leverage in building technology leadership that will support LeapFrog's future growth," he added. Neeraj Gupta, Systems in Motion's CEO said, "We're proud to be associated with LeapFrog in helping build a technology backbone that can support their transformation. Our model for leveraging the talent base in the US mid-west and creating high performance application development centers is a perfect fit for companies like Leapfrog."
