From what I have found out, his brief career encompassed both the Romantic fascination with orientalist themes, and a prescient loosening of brush-stroke and color. Much to the frustration of my teachers in elementary school, who watched and saw my math and language books slowly but surely transform into comic strips. At the age of twelve, my parents decided to enroll me into the academy of fine arts where I was thoroughly educated in the art of drawing and sculpting by the inspiring artist Herman Cornelis. Time passed by and Christiane had this to say: "it wasn’t long until I could no longer repress the urge to create my own work. To paint all those images and ideas that spontaneously sprouted in my heart. Finally! The time was there to take new directions in life and find myself again in my art. Looking back, life turns out to be a continuos learning process in which I’ve searched for my way and eventually I got lucky enough to find it." "With each original work I create today I realize more and more that the true learning process has only just begun for me!" 1 day ago

Although severely damaged by an earthquake in 1667, Dubrovnik managed to preserve its beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains. In this presentation a child created a Castle and in his imagination he filled it up with proper rooms, royalty, peasants and slaves.
