  3. 3. 1st Workshop – Belgrade, 29th/30th September 2010 – E-INCLUSION OF VULNERABLE GROUPS<br />Fundación Esplai at a glance<br />The statement of mission is to educate children and young people during leisure time and to strengthen associations and organisations, with the purpose to transform society and favour social inclusion.<br />
  4. 4. Our approach on e-inclusion<br />Ours is an initiative within a strategic framework with the aim to overcome the digital gap<br />Red Conecta is a social project shared by a net of NGO’s that promotes social inclusion through IT skills <br />

The Program Objectives<br />1.- To favor the reduction of the digital divide with groups in risk of social exclusion and/or areas deteriorated or needed intervention, to improve its social inclusion. <br />2.- To improve the employability of young people, long duration unemployed and women <br />3.- To take advantage of the potential and proximity of the organizations rooted in the territory <br />4.- To eliminate mental and physical barriers in the use of ITC's by different groups (Immigrants, elderly people, disable …)<br />

  7. 7. Target groups<br />Women over 45, immigrants, peoplewho are unemployed or want to find a new job, elderly people, youth at risk of social exclusion, poverty pockets and people from disadvantatged neighbourhoods.<br />
  8. 8. Our model of telecentre<br />Full integration in host organization<br />The host organisation is usually working for social inclusion. Each telecentre is fully integrated in these programmes, which makes synergies possible<br />
  9. 9. Telecentre Models<br />Single-dimension telecentre<br />Non Active: the motivator is waiting for the people <br />His/her basic activity is to open the telecentre<br />Access<br />The only possible activity is: Access<br />

Telecentre Models<br />Single-dimension telecentre<br />Where<br />The Telecentre looks like a typical cybercafé or centre for free Internet use, with no active motivator<br />Value<br />It provides access to equipment and connectivity, crucial to overcome geographical or economical barriers<br />Shortcomings<br />The user must be self-sufficient. <br />It doesn’t enhance knowledge or abilities. <br />It is limited to individual usage, with no communitarian outlook<br />
