  • 3. 0 It helps to generate more ideas through brainstorming session and provide a different point of view for each particular in order to bring up more ideas. 0 It helps to develop skills in summarizing the information of definition, construction process, team players, classification, stages in construction into a more specific words in order to gain understand through the mind-mapping.

  • 5. 0 It learns about the general overview of construction industry from mankind perspective which can be derived from different point of views. 0 It helps to assess the students understanding on the general construction process from the sketch plan to completion of a building and introduce the scope of work handled by the players involved.

  • 8. 0 It enables to develop an understanding of client responsibilities and their needs in industry and how client creates idea and their intention for a project. 0 It learns to make full use of a vacant space, turn something out of nothing by designing it through the client needs. 0 It emphasis on the importance of site selection and observation base on the site chosen.

  • 11. 0 It gives good experience to us by letting us know the behavior of society nowadays. 0 It emphasis on the parties involved in the construction industry and their involvement through a project. 0 It helps to develop an awareness of their professional responsibilities and to appreciate the importance of their profession in the construction industry.

It is about the 5 distinct stages as you mentioned, Preliminary Stage, Detailed Design Stage, Tender Stage, Construction Stage, Post- Construction Stage, can you briefly explain all the stages? 0 Can you tell us the process of getting plan approval, is there any problems encountered? Any amendments to the original submission as per request by authority? 0 As a quantity surveyor, how frequent does you carry out site inspection to check the work process?
  • 13. 0 We know that you are required to send in a proposal about the constructions costs, constructions materials and labor activities on particular project in order to get a contract approval from the authority, can you elaborate in details of this proposal? 0 After site inspection, do you report the work process to Project Manager or Project Director? What does the report is all about, can you specify it? 0 Does a quantity surveyor important in a construction? What are the advantages for having a quantity surveyor and the disadvantages for not having a quantity surveyor?
  • 14. 0 It introduces the scope of work handled by quantity surveyor in construction with regards to their responsibility and duties in completing a construction project. 0 It explains the need of compliance to particular requirements in obtaining authority approval. 0 It gains the ability to document their observations and research as well as to communicate their findings.
