3 mothers This morning, we’ll be exploring 3 mothers found in the first two books of the Bible: Genesis and Exodus. These examples of motherhood can be viewed as a lens towards today’s reality, and can even be examples of both what to do and what not to do. This lesson is not exclusive to women. The morals/values of the lesson can be applicable to men.

Eve The first mother. Genesis 4: 1-2 People can be real quick to blame her for what happened in the garden. BUT, let’s explore some possible, unspoken areas of her life.

Eve Eve didn’t have “girls night out” as a support group or to go to for advice. In fact, she didn’t even have a mother to go to for advice and to hear some past experiences that may have been helpful towards her decision making. There were no other mothers around when her kids were sick, or constantly crying. She had to figure things out on her own.

Eve At times it can be lonely, especially when you feel that you need some help the most, but God is merciful and is with you.
