Del.icio.us Bookmarking
When you create an account you should also
Install the del.icio.us button in your browser
This makes it really simple to tag sites
Upload your current bookmarks
You obviously saved them for a reason!!
Creating a Bookmark
If you have added the del.icio.us button to your toolbar
When visiting the website you wish to tag/bookmark, click on the tag button
If you are on a computer which you cannot add the del.icio.us button to (eg school), you can log into del.icio.us and click on the words “save a new bookmark” in the upper right hand corner of your screen
This requires that you cut and paste the URL in

You can opt not to share a link
by clicking on the recommended or popular tags you can quickly add tags
you may also see who has bookmarked this by clicking on PEOPLE

Will bring you to a page with your PERSONAL tags in a “cloud” sized by number of references
My Subscriptions
You can subscribe to a tag and see what bookmarks have recently been assigned it
You can limit this to a specific person
Or it can be wide open
