  • 3. www.worldweatheronline.com Earthquakes Chile Over the last year Chile has been hit by 455 earthquakes that have register at least at 1.5 magnitude or greater. Many of these have gone largely unnoticed.
  • 4. www.worldweatheronline.com The Aftershocks Aftershocks are expected after any earthquake occurs, forty tremors that have registered between 4.2 and 6.5, were all recorded following the 8.2 magnitude earthquake before the second earthquake that measure 7.8 on the Richter scale struck.
  • 5. www.worldweatheronline.com Damage Caused to more than buildings Almost one million people had to be evacuated as the 8.2 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Chile caused a small tsunami.
