Gymnastics <ul><li>According to news report, gold medalist He Kexin is two years under the age of Olympic eligibility (16). </li></ul><ul><li>The Chinese men took 6 gold medals and one silver in the individual gymnastic events. </li></ul><ul><li>The chinese women took 1 gold and 4 bronze medals in the individual events. </li></ul><ul><li>The men’s and women’s teams each also won a gold in the team gymnastic events. </li></ul><ul><li>China took more medals than any other countries in the gymnastic events at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. </li></ul>

Weightlifting <ul><li>China took a total of 6 medals in all the weightlifting events at Beijing . </li></ul><ul><li>The Chinese women dominated the weightlifting with 4 gold medals. </li></ul><ul><li>The men also faired well, taking one gold and one silver medal. </li></ul><ul><li>The Chinese female gold medalists were Cao Lei, Liu Chunhung, Chen Yanging, and Chen Xiexia. </li></ul><ul><li>The guy medalists were Li Hongli and Lu Yong. </li></ul>

Badminton <ul><li>Badminton was one of China’s most dominated events in the Beijing Olympics. </li></ul><ul><li>China took a total of 8 medals in the Badminton events alone at Beijing. </li></ul><ul><li>The men achieved four medals including a gold in the men’s singles event. </li></ul><ul><li>The women also gained four of the medals including gold medals in the women’s singles and doubles. </li></ul><ul><li>The Chinese Badminton gold medalists were Lin Dan, Zhang Ning, Du Jing and Yu Yang. </li></ul>

Table Tennis <ul><li>Table Tennis is another Chinese dominated Olympic sport. </li></ul><ul><li>At the Beijing Olympics, Chinese athletes took 8 total medals in Table Tennis events. </li></ul><ul><li>The men took four medals, including two gold. </li></ul><ul><li>The women also took four medals, also with two gold medals. </li></ul><ul><li>Chinese athletes Zhang Yining and Ma Lin both won two golds each in the team and singles events. </li></ul>

Diving <ul><li>Diving is debatably China’s best Olympic event. </li></ul><ul><li>The Chinese took an astounding 11 medals in Diving events at Beijing. </li></ul><ul><li>The men took 5 of these medals, including 3 gold. </li></ul><ul><li>The women gained the other 6 medals and added 4 golds of their own. </li></ul><ul><li>Qin Kai and Wu Minxia were two athletes to each gain two diving medals. </li></ul>

Shooting <ul><li>Shooting events were another sport dominated by China. </li></ul><ul><li>The Chinese took a total of 8 medals at Beijing. </li></ul><ul><li>The men took 5 of these 8 medals, with two gold. </li></ul><ul><li>The women gained three medals, all of which were gold medals. </li></ul><ul><li>The gold medalists were Du Li, Chen Ying, Guo Wenjun, Qiu Jian and Pang Wei. </li></ul>
