  • 2. one language into another - Translation is turning one language into another - I translate from German (source language) into English (target language) - Most translators only translate into their native language - Be wary of translators who claim to be able to work into and out of multiple languages
  • 3. Translator / Interpreter - Translators work with written documents - Interpreters work with the spoken word - Translators are invisible - Ideally, you should never know whether you’re reading a translation or not
