Leveling up, skilloptimization, questing, interacting with NPC as well as solo and group play which are prevalentelements of a MMORPG would be available in SWTOR as well. In addition, Star Wars the OldRepublic would be featuring new elements including space combat and crew skills. For fans of Star Wars, obviously the most discussed topic is the storyline and the available racesand classes. SWTOR gives Star Wars fans a chance to play and determine the fate of theirfavorite character. In terms of the available species, or in the more common gaming term races, BioWare will bemaking a total of eight races available based on real characters in the Star Wars film byLucasArts. The available races are: Chiss, Human, Miraluka, Mirialan, Rattaki, Sith Pureblook,Twilek and Zabrak. Given that not all classes would be available to each race, its best to do acheck on the available classes for each race and what the class offers before making a characterchoice.Heres an overview of the class and race combinations. For more details about each class, detailsfrom topic-specific fan sites such as the SWTOR Smuggler, SWTOR Trooper, SWTOR SithWarrior and SWTOR Imperial Agent websites would prove to come in handy. For players wanting to play a Jedi Consular, the available races are Human and Mirialan. For theJedi Knight, youd need to have a Human, Miraluka or Zabrak character. Humans along with theTwilek class would be able to play the Smuggler class. The Trooper, the fourth Republic class, would be available to the Human, Mirialan and Zabrak races.Above is an overview for the Galactic Republic. For the Sith Empire, youd need to have a Humanor Rattaki character to play a Bounty Hunter. For the Imperial agent class, make sure to roll out aChiss or Human. Humans would also be able to play the other two Sith Empire classes, the SithInquisitor and Sith Warrior. As a Zabrak, youd also be able to play as a Sith Inquisitor. BesidesHuman, the only other character that can play as a Sith Warrior is a Sith Pureblood. Notice thatHumans is the only race that could play all the eight classes. This article provides an overview of the classes and races, for more in-depth details about theGalactic Republic and Sith Empire, in other words, the factions, getting a SWTOR strategy guideor similar reference would be recommended.
