  • 1. Galapagos Islands By: Trenton D.
  • 2. The Climate
    • The weather changes because of the ocean currents. It slams against the sides and makes it difference in the temperature. In some islands, the temperature is HOT, muggy and unmoist, like a desert. Others are warm, wet and very moist.
  • 3. Erupting Volcanic Activity The Galapagos Islands formed millions of years ago by volcanoes that erupted. The lava floated and soon finally hardened that turned into islands. They are still forming today. The last volcanic eruption was about 11 years ago. Two of them erupted at the same time.
  • 4. Wildlife and the Land Size
    • 13 parts of land is Humongous. The rest, which is many, many, many, is small.
    • The Wildlife is very exotic. The only swimming lizard in the WORLD lives here! It is called the iguana. You might of heard of it before. But you might not of known it can swim. There’s a turtle that can live up to 100 years or more, and can weigh up to 500 pounds! There is also more species of animals, but you’ve heard of it before.
