Hardware  It has circuit to communicate with sensors and electronic control unit (ECU) in a W/D; possess a GPS chip; and telecom system to transfer data wirelessly  It passes the collected information to firmware for enriching it and then connects to telecom systems to transmit processed and packaged information to central server 5 © 2013 WIPRO LTD | WWW.WIPRO.COM
  • 6. 2. Firmware  It processes the incoming sensor signals and adds meaning to it. It compresses the processed information and sends data packets to backend server. It is also capable of running remote diagnostics codes sent by a technician from central server  The firmware that runs on hardware handles three types of data: faults, remote diagnostics codes and event data.
