Instructors & students, follow these easy
steps to posting or submitting an article as
part of a Moodle assignment, via email, etc.
Wil Peters, Noel Mem. Library, LSUS 2009
Only cutting & pasting a url, not pages of html
article
No bother with attaching a pdf to an email, or
uploading article to a Moodle folder
Off-campus users have to authenticate, so the URL for
the article has to have this added piece that passes the
patron through our proxy server for authentication:
http://ezproxy.lsus.edu:2048/login?url=
For example, you want to create a link to the article
\"Do Volunteers Deserve the Board's Attention?,\" which
is available from Ebsco's Business Source Complete,
then
the persistent URL for this article is:
http://ezproxy.lsus.edu:2048/login?url=http://search.e
bscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=bth&AN=1
9072309&site=ehost-live **(Ebsco already includes the
proxy string, but other databases may not. In that case,
be sure to append it at beginning of string)
