    • 1. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. John 3:16
    • 2. Leader: We come to prepare for the birthday of our King. PEOPLE: We come to make ready our welcome to Jesus, God’s only son.
    • 3. Leader: We begin Advent, that special season that moves our memory to the birth of Christ.
    • 4. PEOPLE: The focus of advent is on the revival of hope, a new beginning, and our life eternal.
    • 5. Leader: Let the songs and symbols of this service of adorning represent our personal rededication to Jesus Christ and bring glory to our God.
    • 6. ALL: For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
    • 7. O Come, O, Come Emmanuel
    • 8. O come, O come, Emmanuel, And ransom captive Israel,
    • 9. That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear.
    • 10. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel!
    • 11. O come, Desire of nations, bind All peoples in one heart and mind;

    • 24. Leader: Let the garlands of evergreen tell the story throughout the season.
    • 25. Come, Thou Long- Expected Jesus
    • 26. Come, Thou long-expected Jesus Born to set Thy people free; From our fears and sins release us; Let us find our rest in Thee.
    • 27. Israel’s strength and consolation, Hope of all the earth Thou art; Dear desire of every nation, Joy of every longing heart.

    • 44. AND NOW AS WE CELEBRATE THIS TIME OF PREPARATION, WE CHOOSE TO KEEP CHRIST AT THE CENTER OF OUR TRADITIONS;
    • 45. WE MAKE HIM WELCOME IN OUR HEARTS AND HOMES; WE REMEMBER THAT HE IS TRULY THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.
    • 46. AS WE HAVE DECORATED THIS PLACE OF WORSHIP, MAY WE ALSO LIVE LIVES OF WORSHIP… DECORATED WITH GOD’S FOREVER THINGS.
    • 47. HEAR THE GOOD NEWS! THE JOY OF GOD HAS COME TO THE WORLD! CHRIST IS BORN INDEED! GLORY AND HONOR TO OUR GOD. AMEN.
    • 48. Joy to the World
    • 49. Joy to the world! The Lord is come: Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room,
    • 50. And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
