However, it should be especially explained that the principles for setting time andvolume are “higher priority of DMB box settings” and “proximity among groups”. Group setting willbe delivered to DMB boxes in form of messages, but it can not be reflected in set attributes of DMBbox itself. That is to say, while changing the DMB box, it is still unset. However, while restarting theDMB box, the system will automatically write the reported volume to database, so as to make thisvolume become the final volume. Principle of “higher priority of DMB box settings” means that only when time and volume havenot been set in DMB box itself will the DMB box adopt group settings. However, once relevantsettings have been made in DMB box itself, the group settings belong won’t be adopted. “Proximity principle among groups” relates to the adoption of group settings for DMB boxes. Page 22 of 62 www.szdpe.com
  • 3. www.szdpe.comDMB boxes will search from the DMB box nodes from the bottom, and succeed the first relevantgroup setting. For example, there is group A (volume is 15), group B (volume is 14) and group C(undefined). A is B’s parent group and B is C’s parent group. C has a DMB box which hasn’t got avolume setting. So DMB boxes will adopt the higher one, namely grouping B’s volume setting.4.2.3.2 Introduction to remote control DMB boxes will respond to any order in remote control. But after responding, the final workingstatus of DMB boxes is decided by working time quantum setting. That is to say if DMB boxes areworking within the working time, the final working status is normal after responding to remotecontrol orders. On the contrary, if DMB boxes are out of working time, their final working will benormally power off after responding to remote control orders.4.2.3.2 Introduction to DMB box disconnection hints When such abnormal states as abnormal off-line occur in the DMB box of DMB boxmanagement, a small prompt window about DMB box off-line will be bounced out in the lower rightcorner of the system, accompanied by prompt audio (require DMB box view permissions, and whenusers just log on to the system, the prompt message of latest off-line DMB box will be bounced out). Fig.2-8 After closing this window, click button in the lower right corner to displayabnormal information of DMB box. Click to inquiry prompting message of abnormal DMB box (By default, the system will display 50 messages) Page 23 of 62 www.szdpe.com

As shown by Fig 3-1, we can find from the treeof stuff categories that the resource types supported by this system are: video, audio, picture, text,DMB box upgrading package (packages named dmb8623.tar.gz, linux8623.img, and root8623.img),etc. As for 8621, due to its restriction of hardware performance, the best code ratio of video playedshould be less than 2MB. If the code ratio is more than 2MB, problems of downloading play cardmachine will appear. While uploading stuff, a classification can be done through functions of [label]and [introduction] in detailed information, which facilitates the operation when arranging tasks. Right-click any item on the tree of resource types, then a menu like will pop up. Clicking uploading stuff to upload all types of stuff. Clicking adding live video resources can increase the live resources in forms of mms, rtsp, etc. After clicking adding stuff, if the stuff selecting choice box doesn’t pop up, please install Page 25 of 62 www.szdpe.com

After auditing the choices, the system will acquiesce to the show of verification suggestion in thedescriptive item of stuff.4.3.2 Stuff attributes While clicking a specific stuff, the detailed information of this stuff will be shown in the list onthe right, such as the stuff No., name, MD5 of the stuff, the length width, etc. In addition, a previewof the stuff will be shown at the bottom.
