  • 16. “PEOPLE SEEM TO BEIN A BETTER MOOD THAN ON THE L.”
  • 17. AFTER THE FIRST TRIP“It may not solve all my problems with New York but it definitely helps with one aspect.”
  • 18. AFTER THE FIRST TRIP“I want to keep exploring other bus and train routes.”
  • 19. CONCLUDING REMARKS
  • 20. “I felt a lot less closed in than the G/L, and loved that I didn’t have to wait underground at all. I was also one of only 3 people on the bus which was amazing.”
  • 21. Q. Do you think by exploringand finding your own personaltransit comfort zone in NewYork you may find some ofyour “bitterness” subsiding?
  • 22. “Maybe. If I can start my morning commute off on a happy note, it really seems to effect the rest of my day in a positive way.”
  • 23. “I also found one thing that Chicago doesn’t have, which is the above ground commute over the east river. I’m definitely a scenery person and that’s much nicer than any elevated Chicago view.”
  • 24. Q. Have you found thatalthough it may take slightlylonger to travel via morecomfortable routes, the timespent is more enjoyable andtherefore better spent?
  • 25. “Yes, the time seems better spent because I do things that I used to, like respond to emails and stuff on my phone... It’s actually possible to get a book out and read.”
  • 26. thank you.
