      • The poverty line is:
      • $9,359 for 1 person
      • $11,569 for a family of 2
      • $14,480 for a family of 3
      • $18,800 for a family of 4
      • 12.6% of Americans live below the Poverty Level.
      • 10.9% of those in PA live below the Poverty Level
      • 10.7% of Americans live below the poverty line when such things as welfare and food stamps are taken into consideration
      • Most poor are white.
      • 7.5% of White people are poor.
      • 21.4% of Hispanic people are poor
      • 24.1% of Black people are poor
      • 25.9% of Native Americans are poor
      • 48% of all poor are white
